  4. An official response direct from the producer of this video (I e-mailed through the weblink above) regarding the music: „The song is called „Edge of the World (Non Exotic Version)“ by Jeff Broadbent. The music is licensed by Warner Chappell Production Music. There are several versions of the song on an album called „Hemispheres“ in the Warner Chappell collection.
I am not sure if this song is available outside the Warner Chappell music licensing process, but the song is owned under ASCAP“

  9. It’s amazing to me, to see the lights and see that we’ve made our mark in the universe. Wondering if there are civilizations somewhere that have the technology to see us, but not yet get to us.

  12. I was watching the video thinking „if only the world could unite for space exploration, just imagine what amazing things we could achieve together!“ and then I looked down and saw your comment! You are sooo right!

  15. It makes you wish even though the world can see such images, we could join together; but difference will ultimately prove an anti-force to the discovery as long as we are alive for the next 50 years.

  16. If the Earth has been created by God, and we has been created by God… then it would be his fault for generating us e and let destroy it with garbage 🙂
The just a beautiful universe, and humans that have to take their own responsibilities.

  19. it’s too bad human nature is to dominate. advancement becomes secondary. we won’t advance until some nation challenges us to do so unfortunately.

  20. Weel, usually advacemente come from competition… but I in ISS means International.
One of the greatest non-technical achievement of the Station is that it’s not from competition, but from international collaboration. And thinking at our „divided“ and sadly wary world this may be the greatest achivement.

  25. It looks fake because it’s unbelievable. Although it could just as well be fake. No one knows except for the select few who saw the raw footage and compiled this video. All I know is that from this space view, Earth just looks so peaceful and calm. I think that may be a cause as to why it looks fake as well. We’re not seeing any corruption or terribly miscontexted presidential ads or anything negative, just beauty 🙂

  27. The earth doesnt accually look like that when your up there, they let the camera get set for a while so they can capture more light, much like you would do if you wanted to our galaxy, you set a camera for a long time outside, so it can capture all the stars, which is why this video doesn’t look real,

  29. You must be a naive 14-year old girl. Don’t believe the liberal propaganda. Although I will concede that it doesn’t really matter… the Earth was not meant to last and God will be reclaiming it very very soon anyway. Probably within your lifetime.

  33. i can’t believe people really think humanity could kill a planet as prolific as earth. the earth does not run on oil so it doesn’t matter if we take it. every single substance is biodegradable given enough time so no pollution will ever be permanent. if we nuked every continent, life would STILL go on and plants would thrive since plants grow faster in radioactive conditions. we aren’t hurting the earth, we’re just making our own living conditions kinda shitty for ourselves while we’re here

  38. Who thinks the Earth runs on oil? They should be shot. Yeah, if we nuked every continent plant life might continue, but your ass would be dead. Taking oil and depleting other natural resources aren’t the only factors in our destruction. Think about it.

  46. my point is taking and using oil doesn’t harm the earth

the keywords in all of this is „our destruction“. one way or another man will go extinct so why does it matter? „taking care of the earth“ and „saving the planet“ do not matter at all in the long run. we do what we need to survive. in a while, the sun (so… nature) will expand and destroy the earth and all life on it will be wiped out. earth is just a temporary home for us. eventually we’ll all have to ditch the earth for somewhere else

  57. Yeah, it is inevitable that we are going to die. I had no idea. I’m so glad I have you here to tell me. So basically you’re a „go big or go home“ type of fella. Never watched Captain Planet and had a shitty childhood? I know it doesn’t matter in the long run. We won’t ever see the ditching of the Earth. We’ll be long gone.

  69. i’m just sick of tree huggers saying we’re killing the earth, which is bullshit. the earth is more than adequately equipped to deal with the things we do and even if we keep doing the same things we do right now, the earth will still be habitable 100 years from now. and 200 years and 300 and 400

i’m not a „go big or go home“ kind of guy at all. i’m not saying that fucking shit up is a good thing but there’s no point in getting paranoid about things that are not really doing much of any harm

  87. It’s not only tree huggers saying that though. Frankly, you’re the only person I have seen saying anything like this. It’s quite the opposite. I don’t think the Earth will last that much longer anyway. I still think this video is a beautiful thing to see. Oh well.

What if it where stories made out of watermarks? What if they were joined together telling God’s story? What if they showed His Image?

Our planet is very resilient and will bounce back. Whether or not mankind will be around to see it is the decision we’ll have to make.

  120. We’ve never had times like this before. The Earth is resilient, yes, but while we are harming the planet, we are also fucking up its safeguards. We pollute the air while simultaneously cutting down the trees that clean the air. We wreck biodiversity. More countries are developing into ones like ours. We’re working in a time where humans no longer depend on the sun. We can work 24/7 using energy from elsewhere. There will be a time in which we run everything too thin if we continue at this rate.

  158. Biodiversity has nothing to do with the environment? You, sir, are an idiot. Your argument is invalid. We are some of the only creatures in the world that can work nonstop. Most others depend on the NATURAL cycle of the Earth while we have created an artificial one. Destroy biodiversity of a habitat or ecosystem, and you hurt that ecosystem. It’s all a chain. It’s all connected. And you cannot compare what can be planted(and what must take YEARS to grow up to what was cut), to what is destroyed.

It’s all connected. And you cannot compare what can be planted(and what must take YEARS to grow up to what was cut), to what is destroyed.
