  1. Those ghosts or mutants can’t be someone your parents knew. Unless you are accepting the possibility that your parents‘ friends could be turned into ghosts or mutants. That was a bad point.

  2. No, you just missed my point. I meant that they shouldn’t be PORTRAYED as such. It doesn’t matter if it can actually happen. When a person dies, they deserve to be remembered with a basic level of respect and dignity. It’s just plain bad taste to turn them into a fictitious movie villain in order to entertain the masses.

  3. I can’t believe anyone would positively rate this comment. REAL people continue to die from that awful tragedy to this day and will for years to come. Many brave civil service workers gave their lives to save millions of others. They deserve so much better than being portrayed as some boogeyman! Why does anyone think it’s ok to dehumanize dead innocent civilians for sheer amusement? How would you like it if you died and I made a movie about you as some zombie child molester or something?

  4. in my opinion every one on here is making a big deal out of what appears to be nothing, yes many of Innocent people died in Chernobyl but i’m sure there are way more disrespectful things someone could do. any way that’s just my opinion.

  5. Chernobyl is now under the control of the Ukrainian government, not Russian… which is still pretty scary if you’ve ever lived in Ukraine. But other than that, I completely agree.

  6. I feel bad now that you had people who knew your family who died there. I’m *so* sorry; I didn’t see that. I thought you were just some random person spamming this, which annoys me mightily.
And I see your point about 9/11. Still, we don’t really know the plot of the movie yet. It’s possible there’s more to it than that (i.e., maybe there’s some thing living in Pripyat using all the sorrow and suffering; therefore it’s not really the people who died there). Anyway, I’m SO sorry about the above.

  7. I understand, apology accepted. I was thinking the same thing about the plot actually. I really hope you’re right and that’s the case. I just didn’t appreciate numerous people all telling me to chill out because „hey it’s all made up anyway.“ Some things are just a bit too close for comfort.

  8. The movie is not out yet. You do not know who or what the antagonist is. Please wait before trying to prove a point without clear proof.

  9. dont be a dick the melt down was a horrific incident and many people who were there or had family in pripyat are still alive. hell even the „people who stayed behind and were never seen again“ had families. to see this film turn their loved ones into ghouls must be heart breaking. I know its a film but some people do take these seriously and with good reason. so dont have a go at them.

  10. Glad to hear you say it! I’ve even seen a documentary that claimed the disaster had the potential to destroy half of Europe. It’s only thanks to some brave engineers, miners, construction workers, and soldiers that the worst was prevented. It’s such a shame so many people think it’s ok to dehumanize those heroes for novelty purposes to amuse the degenerate masses.

  11. You’re the biggest doublemoral douschebag there is, If you can look up the real chernobyl incident and see how far off this movie is, then why is this such a horrible movie? it’s fucking fantasy asshole! Fantasies are not dishonoring anyone here, it’s like saying; „Hey! Saving private Ryan is highly dishonoring to the soldiers of world war 2!!! They don’t need that shit brought up to the big screen!!!“ It’s a fucking movie it’s obviously you who needs to dry your eyes Whiny little faggot

  12. It’s so fictional it’s funny. How the hell would the „mutants“ survive if there’s nothing to eat? Let alone it’s been searched shit loads of times. Just sounds like another type of horror movie that’s completely illogical, but there for the thrills… I’ll see it.

  13. @trobot86 You’re right. In fact, lets go get mad at Treyarch for making Nazi Zombies. I have a German friend, and for all I know I just might’ve blown his great-grandfather’s head off on round 11.

  14. There was only one cooling tower, and it was only half way complete. It did not even function at all as it was part of reactors 5 and 6 which were still being built at the time of the accident. Reactor 5 and 6 along with the cooling tower were positioned on a different turbine hall, built a decent distance away from reactors 1-4.

  15. I understand now. If someone made a movie like this about Joplin, Missouri, for example (I live just north, lived there for the first five years of my life, and my grandma died in the tornado), I’d probably just be as pissed off as you are.

  16. God, are people really getting offended by this movie too? Man, I’m going to start the „Group That Get’s Offended By Everything“, watch every new movie that comes out, and pick out things that offend me, and sue. If anyone wants to join, they’re in!

  17. My thoughts exactly! I can’t believe people are actually supporting this tasteless piece of crap. The makers of this film and those who support it should feel ashamed of themselves. This is not the way to make a profit.

  18. Is that Jesse McCartney? Well, now I can’t enjoy being terrified if I see this movie. It’s like putting Justin Timberlake in a horror movie–I won’t be able to think about anything else but their music.

  19. Well, I saw a recent trailer of the main group sufferring the effects of radiation in the film.
    – nausea
    – skin falling off
    – intense paranoia

Possibility: Victims, Other Tourists, Journey people or maybe mutated wildlife.

  20. Shame they didnt set it somewhere with hills, like where their being watched by mutants, and then they could call it „the hills are watching you“ or something similar.. maybe even make a sequel one day too… would be great!!

  21. Actually your partially correct, because my best friend is ukrainian and he’s seen people who are „mutated“ because of radiation and yes most people died BUT some (very very few) did survive due to lack of radiation basically they didn’t get a lethal dose but it basically buttfucked their DNA to shit

  22. „wery excited to us there“ …? If Yuri is Russian, then he’d talk with a Russian accent – Russian doesn’t have a „W“ letter, But it DOES have a „V“ letter. He’d say ‚very’ not ‚wery‘.

  23. lol didnt you know cancer is curable now loads are people with cancer are now going to a thing called a hospital having radiation treatment And Then comming out about 6 weeks later With no cancer XD lolol Radiation Don’t Cause cancer Your Cells do by Refuseing to die when they are ment Too Hence The problem If they died when there time was Up then No such things as cancer But Cells are becoming Immortal And your body keep replacing these immortal Cells And then A tumor appears then More Cells

  24. and then more cells And so on Untill You Die Beacuse You body makes cells with a self life Now Stem Cells are differant they live in your body and are like the unemployed They Do nothing Untill one of the Working Cells Either heart brain organ anything like that Die then Stem Cells replace That Worker Cell Thus morping into Said Cell it need to Replace Thats Why your Organs Are younger then You are Beacuse Every so often They Die bit by bit only for immortal Stem Cells that DO NOT CAUSE Cancer

  25. Replace parts and ive gone on far tooo much But yes Welcome To the last 6 years of my University work XD and ive still got many more years to study lol Thats your crash course on The human Body stem cells can also replace things like ears and fingers if Given the right Nudge And Time it will take a few months but stem cells There not man made Your body has them and makes them

  26. a NEW reason for the cold war…. I guess Reagan WAS right….. The world AND your own people appreciate the DNA changeing fall-out. AWESOME!!! Shitty movie?!!!!! Russians….. please, a movie that makes „light“ of the reactor explosion in 1986???? I hope you get BIG royalties from this abortion of a movie…. I wont pay to see it.

  27. just beacuse my spelling is poor reflect nothing on my Ability To Get good grades Besides it was actually 1:00 in the morning when i wrote that And i did have a few tins that made me sloppy and lazy. 🙂

  28. You know they didnt have to bite COD Zombies….jesus christ this filmakers are playing to much Call of Duty. Go figure they have a Nikolai on their team who lieks VODKA!

  29. i fist saw this on a poster at a bus stop and thought hey there using chernobyl as the setting for a movie, it might actually be original and good but boy was i wrong -__-

  30. I never implied it did. I was just saying that pointing out that it was 6 years of University studies coming through was pointless when you were explaining GCSE level Biology.

  31. -Deserted area-
    -Car wont start-
    -radiation everywhere-
    -hundreds of people died here-
    -hearing strange noises all night-
    = Walk to a little girl „Hello?“
What the fuck were they thinking? Seriously?

  32. So if I am correct this movie is about elephants that turned in mutants because a nuclear reactor that fueled tho orange juice facilities exploded and knowing only elephants drink oj in russia they exploded and now they’re bro

  33. haha he didn;t say people will die from radiation sickness he said everybody will die from cancer im not saying radiation sickness isn’t a threat i was just replying on his theroy of everybody dying from cancer now if he said everybody will die from the Rads that are there i would say Sure if they go to CNPP The rads there are still good enough to kill a man other parts of pripiyat aswell like water supplys lakes and such But the majioity of it is fine Radiation is everywhere

  35. thats beacuse people still live there ……..Theres a place in england where they take some of the children from pripiyat and give them whats called a RAD break From the radiation that lasts for about 2 weeks They get Fed jabs the lot and then sent back home There not monsters or mutants they are just Humans With an incresed risk of radiation sickness

  38. i would be like “ is that a lil girl?“ „i think so“ „should we try to talk to her?“ „no just throw your shoe at it“ „why“ „you have seen the movies and why would there be a girl standing right there turned around“ „your right…“
