  5. To those who think he used a key, if you ACTUALLY DID pay attention, you would notice the back of the lock has no key hole……

  6. for the pad locks with keyholes, I far prefer picking the lock. a 5 dollar lockpick set the size of a credit card will take 15 seconds to take out, 10 seconds to crack the lock if you’re practiced, and 20 seconds or so to put it away and slip inside.

  7. just a note: shimming a key padlock is VERY difficult (for me anyway) when it is attached to something. It is far easier (again for me) to simply pick the lock. Of course, if it is a combo, go for the shim

  8. Shimming locks is an old locksmithing technique. Back in the day Brass shim material was used, it’s more rigid and can be thinner than soda cans.
