„let’s build a hightech-film-studio working 24/7 and you guys get payed for riding an ultra-slow-rc-car for 5 years in it.“
„Ok, why not, but what’s the point?“
    „dunno, start working, bitches.“

  2. most of u people are knob heads, this is in mars which took over 5 years to cover about 5 miles. life in mars is not same life in earth. get some education before commenting.

  4. @SRDTL what the fuck is wrong with you? i was letting free my naive and curious human side, that has the hope of finding extraterrestrial life some day. like a kid that looks into a dark forest hoping to see something strange, although he knows its probably not going to happen.of course i was not expecting an alien face in front of the camera, but maybe anything new or interesting.
you must be a fucking sad person to insult people you dont know because of a comment like this. get a life

  5. In the year 2011, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient spacefaring civilization. In the decades that followed, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time.
They called it the greatest discovery in human history.

The civilizations of the galaxy call it… MASS EFFECT.

  6. @Shuriken009 the most boring thing in my life right now are ur comments. The next time you pause make sure to look for some brain cells aswell. But i guess you dont need it to ask for thumbs up

  7. Assuming she ever comes back online, and then assuming she can reestablish communication with Earth.

Spirit preformed admirably, and she died in the environment she was designed for. I can think of no greater honor for a rover.

  8. This is a rover that was designed for a 90 day mission and survived for more than 5 freaking *years*! The companion rover, Opportunity, is STILL in operation. Those two rovers have done FAR more for our understanding of the universe than the news could convey.

Interesting is only the tip of the iceberg.

  9. Well done! This is a work of art ! I offer a libation to the artist; the little rover with the gimp wheel that could „take care of business“ until the end………….. A must see for any person interested in the exploration of Mars.

  10. Spirit and opportunity’s wheels designed to drive 600m max, and look at Opportunity she has driven 22 miles! And still roving strong!

  11. Many people can’t appreciate the fact that we are on an entirely different planet. „Oh wow only rocks.“. IT’S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FUCKING PLANET, it’s hard to grasp but this is 33 million miles from home, this isn’t just some video in the desert it’s a whole different world. Literally.
