Hey have looked for tutorials on how to assign your own samples to akai mpk25 pads in programs like ableton and reason but have found nothing.. How did you do it?

pads are on the same channel like notes on the keys…in ableton you can use impulse or sampler etc. and in reason nnxt-advanced sampler =)

you have to set it up for pitch bend or did it come pre set like that? because i thought ive heard of people using it for something like master volume to idk not sure. im asking because im about to buy a mpk25 so i really appreciate it

yeah dude every synthesizer has that pitch bend knob. I 100% positive that the two knobs are pitch bend and modulator.

I give up, this is just great. I’m looking into getting the akai mpk 49 but, reviews about the pads are holding me back. Also the software it comes with feedback is bad. But, do you recommend ableton or reason? xx

Hey, thx. The mpk 49 is a great choice! Yeah the pads may not be that responsive but you can fix that with some tape…when it comes to DAW it’s very hard to choose =(
I started with Fl Studio then moved on to Reason and now i’m using Ableton…I still use all of them because all of them have their own advantages. For RnB/Hip Hop i love to use Reason but i miss the VSTi-Plugins sometimes.
