Fantastic, although as mentioned the vents could be hidden somewhere else. It would be amazing if you had a touchscreen LCARS system to control the door!

Is there a motion sensor or some kind of safety system to prevent the door from closing on someone’s foot, and if now, how bad would that fuck up my foot?

Should have used a motion sensor instead of a switch. Having to press a switch every single time you want to use a door will get annoying to a point that will defeat the entire idea of having a door like this. It should be fully automatic. I’d just be worried about pets and babies…. probably why they don’t put them in homes. The computer technology needed to make them safe would probably be so incredibly expensive, no one would want one, except rich people I guess.
